Woman's Body Found On Long Island Beach

A woman's body was found on a Long Island beach by two people duck hunting.

The body was discovered around 8:10 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, on an island in the Great South Bay in Copiague, said the Suffolk County Police.

"At this time, homicide detectives investigating the case say they believe the woman's death was non-criminal in nature," police said.

The woman's identity has yet to be confirmed by police, police said.

The discovery comes as Suffolk County police have been searching for 88-year-old Ann Costa who was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 13, outside her Copiague home.
